As per CNN-IBN, the communication link between the ATC at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and some 300 aircraft temporarily snapped for a few minutes on Thursday morning.

The ATC has acknowledged the communication link failure claiming it to be minor.

But, the report said it took authorities some two hours to get the whole system working again.

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has, meanwhile, denied that that there was a major air scare.

AAI said it was a technical issue which all ATCs are prepared to deal with.

As per the report, a power failure likely resulted in a BSNL link failure.
