The CBI in its reply has opposed bail to Peter for carrying out further investigation.

Meanwhile, the hearing of the case has been scheduled for January 30.

On January 11, a magistrate's court in Mumbai had extended the judicial custody of Peter till January 25.

He was produced before magistrate R V Adone after the earlier judicial remand expired.

Peter's lawyer Kushal Mor had sought permission for family members to meet him, which the court granted.

Peter, 59, whose wife Indrani Mukerjea is the prime accused in the case, was arrested on November 19 for alleged role in the conspiracy. He was in CBI custody for two weeks.
