Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria told the press on Wednesday that Sheena was murdered on April 24, 2012 and her body found on May 23 that year in a Raigad forest near Mumbai. So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the case: Indrani Mukherjea, her driver Shyam Rai and her former (second) husband Sanjeev Khanna.

However, many questions still remain unanswered in the case.

For example, Peter has disclosed that Sheena was in a relationship with his son Rahul. If that's the case, it is improbable that Sheena would not have told Rahul about the fact that she was in fact Indrani's daughter and not sister. And if she did tell Rahul about this, wouldn't he have told this to his father Peter?

Also, Peter and Indrani were married for 13 years. It is difficult to accept that during this long period, Peter would not have met even a single member of Indrani's family. If he did, he would have come to know of the fact that Sheena was Indrani's daughter and not sister.

Another question that arises is, why did none from Sheena's family tried to find out where she was after disappearing into thin air? Even if Sheena had shifted to the US for further studies as claimed by Indrani, she would have tried to contact her family.

Questions must also be asked from Rahul as to why did he not pursue the case more forcefully when Sheena disappeared. It was Rahul only who had dropped Sheena off on the day she was seen last.
