New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, under whose government the decision to carve out a separate state of Telangana was taken on Sunday greeted the people of the region on the eve of its formation day. In a message to state governor ESL Narasimhan, he wished the people of the new state a "glorious future and sustained prosperity". Telangana would come into existence as the 29th state of India tomorrow, capping the decades-old struggle in the region for carving out a separate state from Andhra Pradesh.
