Imran Khan marries former BBC presenter Reham?
Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan is believed to have tied the knot with Pakistani news anchor Reham Khan, 41, a divorced mother-of-three.
Karachi: Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan is believed to have tied the knot with Pakistani news anchor Reham Khan, 41, a divorced mother-of-three.
There are reports that the wedding took place last weekend, however, Khan, in a Twitter post, slammed the reports calling them "greatly exaggerated".
The rumours of Imran's marriage swelled after his ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith revealed in October last year that she was planning to drop the surname 'Khan' and reverting to her family name as her husband was about to remarry.
Reham, the newly rumoured wife of Imran, lived in Britain for part of her previous marriage, when she was a weather girl and presenter on the BBC regional news programme ‘South Today’.
It is being said that some close family members and friends of Khan were against his marriage and were, reportedly, surprised at his decision to go ahead with it.
Though there is no official announcement from the couple yet, but leading political commentator Dr Shahid Masood, also a close friend of the former Pakistani cricket team captain, said on television that Imran neither confirmed nor denied the news.
