Washington D.C. [USA] American Singer Ariana Grande on Sunday had a very strong reaction to her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller losing the Grammy award for best rap album, but later explained herself and apologised.  Miller’s fifth and final studio album “Swimming” was nominated in the category of the best rap album.

His parents were invited to attend the awards show.Shortly after Cardi B was honoured with the award for “Invasion of Privacy,” the ‘Thank You, Next!’ singer took to Twitter to express her displeasure towards Miller losing the award. “F***,” she posted.


 The tweet was followed by two other reading “trash” and “literal bulls***.”According to a report by Fox news, her now deleted tweets instantly attracted a lot of criticism, following which she clarified that she wasn’t calling Cardi B “trash.”“Nothing to do with her (Cardi B). Good for her. I promise. I’m sorry,” Grande wrote, referring to Cardi B. “(Cardi B is) not at all (trash) and that’s not what I meant and u know that,” she wrote in the following tweet.


Further responding to a tweet by a fan, asking why the Grammys invited Miller’s parents when the rapper wasn’t going to win an award, Grande wrote, “This. This is what I meant. Karen (Mac Miller`s mother) was gonna have a green suit made.”In another tweet, she mentioned that Miller “slept in the studio for two months” while he was developing ‘Swimming.’Despite the loss, the Grammys honored Miller, who died in September at age 26, in its “In Memoriam” tribute Sunday night.After receiving the award, Cardi B posted a video on Instagram, celebrating her victory by thanking various people for loving and supporting her. 


While she mentioned many people, she honoured the late rapper by stating that she is sharing the award with Miller.Grande, who skipped the 2019 Grammys following a disagreement with the show’s producer Ken Ehrlich, won her first-ever award for the best pop vocal album for ‘Sweetener.’
