New Delhi: Indian cinema's one of the most promising and talented finds, actor Irrfan Khan is currently in the UK undergoing treatment of NeuroEndocrine Tumour. There is a good news in store for Irrfan fans this Diwali.

According to Mid-Day.com, Irrfan is most likely to celebrate the festival of lights in India. The report states that this will actor's first trip to the country after his illness was diagnosed. Irrfan will reportedly be back home by November 7.


Quoting a source, the report states that the actor and his family is planning to visit India during Diwali and will be celebrating the festival at their Nashik farmhouse. The actor will be in India for 10 days and then again leave for the UK to complete his treatment.


The classic actor has been away from all the hustle bustle of showbiz for a while now and is currently undergoing treatment for a rare disease NeuroEndocrine Tumour in London. He had first announced about his illness on Twitter which sent a shock wave down his fans and even celebrities.


Recently, there was a strong buzz that Irrfan will return to work with Shoojit Sircar's Udham Singh biopic. However, the Mid-Day.com report quotes a source as saying that there is still time for him to start work as he is yet to get a nod from his doctors. Also, he will have to follow the guidelines given by the oncologists treating him and therefore, the movie will have to be divided into shorter schedules.
