Yash Raj Films fires creative head Ashish Patil after sexual harassment allegations
On Tuesday, the official handle of Yash Raj Films announced that the company has decided to terminate the service of Ashish and has fired him with immediate effect.
New Delhi: The MeToo movement in Bollywood, which started after Tanushree accused senior actor Nana Patekar of harassing her in 2008, has started showing its effect.
With more and more women are coming forward to seek justice, several associations and panels have served notice to alleged offenders and have in some cases, even asked them to step down from their current positions.
After from actors, names of casting directors and talent head of production houses too came up in the list of alleged offenders. Ashish Patil, the Vice President, Brand Partnerships and Talent Management & Business and Creative Head of Yash Raj Films, too was accused of sexual misconduct and now the production house has terminated his services.

Patil came under the scanner after an aspiring actress anonymously accused him of sexually exploiting her.
On his part, Patil had denied the allegation last week, calling them 'untrue, fabricated, extremely defamatory and agenda-driven'. "I urge this woman in question to kindly step forward and produce all facts because I cannot prove my innocence to a nameless, faceless, anonymous person... I will fully cooperate in any inquiry from any authorities to bring the truth out and completely clear my name," Patil had said in a statement shared on social media on October 10.
In the recent time, celebrated names like Alok Nath, Rajit Kapoor, Sajid Khan, Kailash Kher, Chetan Bhagat, Zulfi Syed among several others were named and shamed on social media.
