Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Get Your Ayushman Card In Just 15 Minutes; Check Benefits And How To Apply Online

In October, PM Modi announced the inclusion of individuals aged 70 or above in the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme, offering health coverage regardless of income.

The government introduced the Ayushman Vaya Vandana card, providing an additional Rs 5 lakh cover annually for seniors over 70, shared among multiple elderly beneficiaries in a household. 

Within just 11 days of the scheme’s expansion, nearly 6.5 lakh elderly individuals enrolled and received their Ayushman cards, with Kerala leading the enrollment, followed by Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Haryana. 

The card is available to all seniors above 70, regardless of income. Eligible applicants can apply online or via the mobile app in just 15 minutes for free hospital treatment. 

The Ayushman Vay Vandana Card is part of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). It grants its holders access to a wide range of healthcare services at both government and private hospitals within the AB PM-JAY network.

Step 1: Download the Ayushman App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Open the app and select the "Login as Beneficiary" option.

Step 3: Enter the captcha, mobile number, choose the mode of authentication, re-enter the captcha, and click "Login."

Step 4: Fill in beneficiary details, including Aadhaar information; if not found, complete eKYC by consenting to OTP.

Step 5: Provide declarations, capture your photo, and fill in additional application details as required.

Step 6: After approval and eKYC completion, download the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card from the app.
