Royal Enfield has unveiled the 120th Year Anniversary Edition of its 650 Twins motorcycles at the ongoing EICMA 2021 show at Milan and the production has been limited to 120 units for India, while overall 480 units will be made.

Royal Enfield has unveiled the limited-run 120th Year Anniversary Edition variants of Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650 at the ongoing EICMA 2021 in Milan, Italy. The Chennai-based manufacturer launched the Twins in late 2018.

The production of the Anniversary Edition model has been limited to just 480 examples out of which 120 units have been allotted to India (60 units of Continental GT 650 and 60 units of Interceptor 650). Out of the remaining 360 units, 120 units are alloted each for Southeast Asia, Europe and America.

Royal Enfield started its journey at the Stanley Cycle Show in London, back in November 1901 and is the oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production. The 120th Year Anniversary Edition of its 650 Twins has been introduced to mark the milestone.

The limited run model gets black chrome tanks, blacked-out engine, and other components in an array of black colour schemes including the silencer. It also gets other elements like windscreens, engine guards, heel guards, touring and bar end mirrors finished in black colour.

Other than black elements, the Royal Enfield 120th Year Anniversary Edition motorcycles also feature a handcrafted, die-cast brass tank badge – made in collaboration with the ‘Sirpi Senthil’ family, a renowned multi-generational artisans from the temple town of Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. The tank top badge features the unique serial number of each motorcycle from 1 of 60 in any of the four allotted regions.

Interested customers can buy the motorcycles through an online sale on December 6, 2021, and can register their interest on the brand’s official website starting from November 24.

The 650cc engine puts out 47 PS of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The air-oil cooled engine is also the most powerful engine that Royal Enfield has ever produced and comes with a 270-degree crank that gives the engine its unique rumbling soundtrack.

The 120th Year Anniversary Edition Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are designed and handcrafted by teams in United Kingdom and India. The black-chrome tank colour scheme is developed in-house with Royal Enfield’s chroming technology in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
