The development of expressways across the country is making headlines, including the Ghaziabad-Kanpur Expressway. This new expressway is not only benefiting the people of Uttar Pradesh but also saving travel time for Delhi-NCR residents. The 380-km-long expressway will connect Ghaziabad and Kanpur. Uttar Pradesh, the fourth-largest state in India by area, will benefit significantly from this project.

The 380-km-long expressway will connect Ghaziabad and Kanpur, passing through nine districts. According to media reports, industrial centres are expected to be established along the route. Initially, it will feature a four-lane highway but later it expand to six lanes in future.
Route
The Ghaziabad-Kanpur Expressway will be connecting 9 districts including Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kannauj and Unnao.
Features
The expressway will enhance connectivity and make travel easier for commuters. The northern end of the expressway will be connected to National Highway-9 and the southern end will connect to the 62.7-km-long Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway.
Travel Time
This expressway will solve the problems related to traffic and save time for commuters using this route. It will take just 5 hours 30 minutes to reach Kanpur from Ghaziabad. Currently, it takes approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes to travel between Kanpur and Ghaziabad.
Promote Greenery
One of the most unique features of this expressway is that it promotes greenery as it is a greenfield expressway.
Date
According to reports, the construction of the expressway is expected to be completed by 2026.
