IN PICS: Delhi BJP leaders cast votes in crucial MCD elections

Voting for the high-stakes municipal elections in Delhi began on December 4, 2022, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Congress leading the way. The Delhi civic elections began at 8 a.m. and ran until 5 p.m. The MCD elections are being held across 13,638 polling stations set up by the Delhi State Election Commission, with 1,45,05,322 voters eligible to vote on the fate of up to 1,349 candidates. Women who voted in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi election on Sunday were concerned about sanitation, park maintenance, and a lack of parking facilities. The high-stakes election saw over 45 percent voter turnout until 4 p.m.
