Lockdown anniversary: A look at the new normal life -- In pics
As Coronavirus cases were being reported, the very first preferred step to control infection was to impose a lockdown.
New modes of learning
Another change that pandemic brought in our lives was the digitalisation of education. As schools and colleges were shut down, it was important to bring new modes of teaching. Thinking from the idea of a virtual classroom to actually conducting online exams and classes was a big change in our lives. (Representational Image)
Office life would never be the same again
Remember those mini-breaks with your colleagues at your favourite 'Tapri' for chai and samosa? Going back to this will be like firstly maintaining one meter of distance, wearing a face mask, sanitising your hands after every few minutes.
Also, many of your co-workers may not be able to join you as some organisations continue to operate with 50 per cent staff, while some of them prefer to work from home. (Representational Image)
'Family, Health and Emergency funds' will become a priority
COVID-19 has made us realise that family and health should be of utmost priority, and savings become handy in emergency situations like these. Also, if we cut down our expenses, it is possible to live a simple lifestyle.
During the lockdown, people focused on healthy living and maintained a healthy diet and prioritised exercising as well. During lockdown itself, issues like mental health, anxiety disorders and depression gain more attention. (Representational Image (Credits: Pixabay)
Festivals and social gatherings lost their charm
India is considered as the 'Land of Festivals', where we celebrate each and every festival and social gatherings regardless of religion, with full enthusiasm, dancing, eating and hopping around, but now all of this will have certain restrictions.
A limited number of gatherings, maintaining social distancing and sanitisation would be the main priorities of the upcoming festivals. (Representational Image)
'Hand sanitiser and face covers' - You must carry while going out
Along with carrying your wallet, don't forget to leave behind your mask and sanitiser. Travelling and hanging out at the malls or cafes will also see a change, with a thermal screening at the entry gates, proper sanitisation of malls, cinema halls and cafes, or airports and metro/ railway stations. Plus, there will be a vacant seat between two persons inside halls, metros and planes. (Representational Image)
