PM Narendra Modi shows his ink-marked finger after casting his vote outside a polling station during the third phase of general election in Ahmedabad. He waved at the people present at the polling booth and urged them to vote in huge numbers. "The third phase of polling is underway today, I am fortunate that I got the opportunity to vote and fulfil my duty in my home state of Gujarat. Like you feel pure after taking a holy dip in Kumbh, one feels pure after taking part in this festival of democracy," he said.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his mother at her residence in Gandhinagar before casting his vote on Tuesday.
