Tata Sons acquires Air India, makes winning bid of Rs 18,000 crore

Centre on Friday (October 8) announced that Tata Sons has won the bid to acquire Air India. The salt-to-software conglomerate won the bid to acquire debt-laden state-run Air India offering Rs 18,000 crore for acquiring 100 per cent shareholding.

 

Tata Sons defeated SpiceJet promoter to bag Air India and their bid of Rs 18,000 crore comprises taking over 15,300 crores of debt and paying the rest in cash.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was on Friday (October 8) denied bail by Mumbai's Esplanade court in a case related to the seizure of drugs following a raid at a party on a cruise ship.

 

Aryan Khan was sent to the Arthur Road prison along with five other men who were arrested in the case too, while two women accused including Munmun Dhamecha were sent to Byculla women's prison.
