Various state governments have issued COVID-19 guidelines for the reopening of schools in a phased manner as the country witnesses decline in COVID-19 infections.
Uttar Pradesh schools
Schools in Uttar Pradesh reopened on Monday with classes from 9 to 12 with 50 percent attendance. Low student attendance and strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols marked the first day of school.
The Yogi Adityanath-led government in UP has announced the reopening of schools for classes 9th to 12th from August 16. While class for students of 6 to 8 will start from September 1.

Bihar schools
Schools in Bihar re-open for Class 1 to 8 students from today. “It is mandatory for students to wear masks, maintain hand hygiene and follow physical distancing,” says a school teacher.
The Bihar government had announced the reopening of schools for classes 1 to 8 from August 16. While classes 9th to 12th have been attending school since August 7.

Rajasthan schools
School and colleges in Rajasthan are scheduled to reopen from today. In the first phase, schools from classes 9 to 12 will open. In the second phase, schools can be opened for students of classes 1 to 8.
