Brough Superior Aston Martin AMB 001 track-only motorcycle revealed with F1 car's power-to-weight ratio: IN PICS

Aston Martin and Brough Superior took the veils off the AMG 001 at the Milan Motorcycle Show. Now, the duo is ready to launch the AMB 001 Pro, which they have revealed as a track-only motorcycle, drawing inspiration from Valkyrie.

The Brough Superior Aston Martin AMB 001 Pro gets noticeable upgrades over its predecessor. Apart from a 25 per cent power bump, it now has an increased power-to-weight ratio of 1.28 hp/kg, which is close to that of an F1 car.

The 997cc engine of the Brough Superior Aston Martin AMB 001 is machined from solid billet aluminium. Hence, increased structural stiffness, and new wet cylinder liners take care of the engine’s temperature.

Talking aesthetics, the AMB 001 Pro dons a front cowl, which is attached to the bodywork. Well, it does not just cheat the wind, it also pushes the air into the intake. The fairing further gets a front spoiler, rear aero stabiliser, and side wings. Yes! All of these elements keep it planted on the ground.

The brand has confirmed to sell the Brough Superior Aston Martin AMB 001 in just one spec. In the racing livery, the motorcycle gets a Verdant Jade colour, along with a satin finish for the carbon. However, the engine and suspension components are done in a shade of black.

The carmaker's lacewing badge is used on the motorcycle, which was designed for the Aston Martin Valkyrie. It is a whopping 99.7 per cent lighter as compared to its enamel counterpart. Aston Martin claims that the badge is in fact 30% thinner than a human hair. The moniker will be seen on the nose and tank.
