The Vande Bharat Sleeper train connecting New Delhi to Srinagar is scheduled to launch in January 2025. This state-of-the-art train aims to transform overnight travel between India’s capital and Jammu and Kashmir, offering faster and more comfortable journeys tailored to the needs of tourists and business travelers alike.

Covering a distance of over 800 kilometers in under 13 hours, the train will depart New Delhi at 7 PM and reach Srinagar by 8 AM the following morning. This efficient overnight service allows passengers to save valuable daytime hours while ensuring a smooth journey.

The train will make limited stops at key stations, including Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. Operating along the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL), a strategic route designed to enhance connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir, this service is expected to significantly cut travel time and improve passenger convenience.

The train will offer multiple ticketing options to suit different budgets - AC 3 Tier tickets will be priced around Rs 2,000, AC 2 Tier around Rs 2,500 and AC First Class around Rs 3,000.

Tickets for the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will be available on IRCTC’s official website (irctc.co.in) and mobile app after its formal inauguration. Travelers can also purchase tickets from station booking counters, making the booking process convenient and accessible.
