Modern Coaches, New Routes: From Vande Bharat Sleeper To Metro Expansion, India's Transit Revolution In 2024

Indian Railways Highlights: The year 2024 brought a mix of challenges and progress for Indian Railways while marking significant advancements for the metro rail systems across the country. Indian Railways experienced several accidents but also made notable strides by introducing new trains, such as the Vande Bharat on additional routes, and launching the Amrit Bharat Express services on four routes. Meanwhile, Alstom supplied numerous new metro coaches to states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, supporting the expansion of urban transit networks. On the other hand, BEML built the world-class Vande Bharat sleeper coaches. The rapid development of track-based mobility solutions highlights a promising trajectory for India’s growth.
