Five legends who failed to clinch a single title in WWE

Nicknamed as “Mr. Wonderful,” Paul Orndorff's stint with the industry was cut short temporarily after the star sustained an injury on his arm. However, things became more bleak and an additional injury on his neck forced Orndorff to call quit for good. In the National Wrestling Alliance and WCW, Luger had won the World Titles, US Titles, and Tag Team Titles. The wrestling legend also got a shot at the WWF Championship title twice against Yokozuna, but he never became a champion in WWE. (Source: WWE)   

Jerry "The King" Lawler is one of the most common figure in the WWE roster. The superstar has been around as both competitor and color commentator on Raw and other shows, however, the legendary heel has never held a WWE title in his career. (Source: WWE) 

Jake “The Snake” Roberts is another famous case of a beloved WWE Legend never holding a single WWE title. Roberts, who was mostly used as a dependable heel, only had a handful of opportunities at championship gold, which includedng an Intercontinental Title match against Randy Savage. He was also a part of the 30-man Royal Rumble match in 1992, whose winner gets a shot at the WWE Championship in WWE's most-anticipated event WrestleMania. (Source: WWE)  

Father of two WWE superstar Goldust and Cody Rhodes, Dusty made his way into the WWE industry back in 1989. Dusty, who had won the NWA World Heavyweight on three occasions, took part in many classic feuds involving 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair.
