Sanju Samson to Deepak Hooda, 6 players who can replace Virat Kohli at No 3 in T20 World Cup - In Pics

KL Rahul is rated as the best T20 batter in Indian lineup by many for his consistency at the top. He will surely be a part of the India squad for the World Cup. In case the selectors don't opt for Virat Kohli at No 3 at T20 World Cup the most viable opening pair will be Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma. In that case Rahul will have to drop down at No 3, a role which is not too different that what he has been playing till recently, that of an anchor. 

He is someone who is tailormade for the No 3 spot. He can power-anchor the innings. Surya brings caution with aggression and if Kohli does not do well in future games, he could be the man who can do the job at that spot. 

Rishabh Pant may not be in best of forms when it comes to white-ball cricket but he surely can be a great experiment at No 3. During the T20s, Rohit and Dravid even tried him in the opening slot where he did fairly well. 

Why not? He is one cricketer who has always been sidelined even when he has done well. Sanju Samson is made for T20 cricket and should definitely be considered for the No 3 spot in Team India lineup. He may not have been consistent with the bat but he has also not got as many opportunities as others. 

Deepak Hooda showed why he belongs at No 3 when he smashed that 100 in 2nd T20 vs Ireland. He had scored 47 in the opening game as well. Hooda made his case to bat in top 3 for India and in form, he is a great candidate to gran the No 3 spot. 

Shreyas Iyer is one batter who has not lived up to his potential as T20 batter in international cricket. But he does possess some power and could be a game-changing decision if he gets picked and plays for India at No 3 spot.
