Veera Simha Reddy Box Office collections: Balakrishna-starrer delivers big numbers at ticket counters, runs housefull
Directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, `Veera Simha Reddy` starring Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan released in cinemas on Jan 12.
HYDERABAD: It was no less than celebration time for Nandamuri Balakrishna's fans as the leading Tollywood star's action-thriller film 'Veera Simha Reddy' arrived in cinemas on Thursday (Jan 12). Despite mixed reviews from the critics, the film received warm response from the audience and has been reportedly running housefull in cinemas across the Telugu-speaking regions. 'Veera Simha Reddy' is estimated to have collected Rs 32-25 crore worldwide on its opening day, reported Indian Express.
The film easily exceeded the opening day totals collected by two Tamil biggies - Vijay-starrer Varisu and Ajith-starrer Thunivu, each making Rs 26.5 crore and Rs Rs 26 crore respectively. Balakrishna, who was last seen in 2021 released 'Akhanda', is seen in a dual role in 'Veera Simha Reddy'.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the movie stars Shruti Haasan as the female lead. The movie makers promised that Balayya, as Balakrishna is popularly known as, will be seen in a never seen befire mass and action-packed role.
Ravi Teja is seen in a mighty role whereas Duniya Vijay and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are seen as antagonists in the film. Honey Rose, Naveen Chandra and P. Ravi Shankar are in the supporting roles. Arthur A Wilson is on board the team as the cinematographer, whereas Niranjan Devaramane is the editor. In addition to this, AS Prakash is the production designer for the movie, whereas Sushmita Konidela is the costume designer.
The music in the film is by S Thaman and cinematography by Rishi Punjabi. It has edited by the National Award-winning Navin Nooli. 'Veera Simha Reddy' is facing a clash with megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Waltair Veerayya', which released on Friday (Jan 13).
