New Delhi: Congress on Thursday gave hints of unease over the state of affairs in Jammu and Kashmir saying party men have issues and grievances over the coalition government headed by ally Omar Abdullah. "Our people have issues with the handling of some matters. They do have grievances," a senior Congress leader, who declined to be identified, said.
The leader said that he was not aware whether a review of the ties with the National Conference was on. Omar Abdullah completes three years as Chief Minister by the end of the year.
State Unit of the Congress is pressing the high command that the Chief Ministership should be rotational--three years for the NC and three years for the Congress. But at the time of formation of the government there was no no agreement on rotation arrangement unlike the previous Congress-PDP dispensation. Reports had it that unflinching support from the Congress helped the Chief Minister survive the storm over the alleged custodial killing of his acquaintance and party supporter Syed Mohammad Yousuf but dangers are still lurking around him.
