Barring their final match against the mighty Men in Blue where they were bowled out for 81, Amjad Javed and his boys put up decent performances in the continental tournament.

Amjad Javed was hailed for his accurate line and length against Asian giants. He picked 8 wickets from four matches and led from the front.

Shaiman Anwar, UAE's best batsman in ICC World Cup 2015, made the best of the last two matches after a poor start to the main stage. While he was dismissed for 13, 1 against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively, the 36-year-old played two fighting knocks of 46, 43 runs against Pakistan and Indian in their last two matches.

For a team which comprises players who have other jobs for a living, UAE can be proud of their performances and should learn from their mistakes for a better show next time around.
