Modi extends aid of Rs 2 crore to quake-hit Sikkim

devastating earthquake.
"We understand the condition of the people of Sikkim
after the massive earthquake," Modi said in a statement today.
"(We) Have sent a cheque for Rs two crore from the Chief Minister`s Relief Fund to Sikkim CM Pawan Kumar Chamling as a a token financial help," Modi said.
He said Gujarat had developed infrastructure for dealing with natural calamities, and it was ready to help if required. "Having successfully managed a massive earthquake rehabilitation programme, Gujarat humbly offers its services to Sikkim," Modi said on twitter.
