Saqlain confirmed a contract has been signed to assist English spinners, Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, during the three-match ODI series, starting January 15.

The ex-Pakistan off-spinner was hired by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to help the English spinners for the first two Tests but now will be giving his services on ODIs too.

After a morale boosting draw in 1st Test, England have been thrashed by India in all departments in the next two Tests, with chief spinner Ravichandran Ashwin claiming as many as 15 wickets thus far.

Speaking to Pakistani media, Saqlain had told England that he enjoyed coaching the English players in India despite the massive Indo-Pak tensions.

"I faced no problems and it was a good experience for me as a bowling coach and consultant," Saqlain said.

The 39-year-old also said that he feels the English spinners were eager learners and would certainly improve as the series progresses.

Would Saqlain be providing Pakistani cricketers the same services? He definitely hopes so.

"It is a matter of pride for me that I am asked to help spinners from different countries but my wish is still to give something back to Pakistan cricket," he said.

"I am ready to offer my services to the Pakistan Cricket Board whenever they need me."

Saqlain was given a short stint by the PCB to work with Saeed Ajmal last year.
