New Delhi: India's limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is set to play under the captaincy of Varun Aaron in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

According to few media reports, Jharkhand State Cricket Association offered Dhoni the captaincy but the cricketer it, as he was not aware about the potential of many players in the squad.


It would also be Dhoni's first domestic game for Jharkhand in eight long years when they face Jammu and Kashmir in a group B game of the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Karnataka on Thursday.


The 34-year-old last played for Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match, way back in 2007.


Dhoni’s presence in Jharkhand team will certainly boost the morale of young cricketers in the team.
