This is not the first time such something like this has happened in the CPL. South African opener Hashim Amla and Pakistani-born Australian spinner Fawad Ahmed too wear unbranded jerseys keeping in line with their religious beliefs.

The left-arm spinner's manager Syed Noman Nazir took to Twitter to inform the fans and followers of the Wasim.

Wasim used to a black cloth to cover the alcohol brand logo in his first match for the Tallawahs.

The Pakistani put in a decent performance, scoring 19 off 14 balls and picked up a wicket as well.
