Jaya`s veiled attack on Karuna on Vision 2023
In a veiled attack on DMK president, CM Jayalalithaa said `leaders make things possible and exceptional leaders make them inevitable.`
Chennai: In a veiled attack on DMK President M Karunanidhi for his opposition to `Vision Tamil Nadu 2023`, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday said "leaders make things possible and exceptional leaders make them inevitable."
"Some critics always raise the doubt - Is this possible?`. Leaders make things possible.Exceptional leaders make them inevitable," she said referring to Vision 2023, which seeks to set the state on a high growth trajectory and to secure for people the benefits of rapid economic growth.
"When people doubt me,I make them believe, with my success. Success is the best revenge", she said after inaugurating the manufacturing facility of German truck maker Daimler near here.
Jayalalithaa said a pessimist saw difficulty in every opportunity and an optimist opportunity in every difficulty.
"The reason most people never reach their goals is that they do not define them or ever seriously consider them as achievable", the Chief Minister said adding "if one advances confidently in the direction of one`s dreams and endeavours to live the life which one has imagined one will meet with success". Karunanidhi had recently wondered if there was a magic wand or lamp to ensure the Rs 15 lakh crore investment required for Vision 2023. PTI
