In one of such memorable incident, former Pakistani cricketer Aamer Sohail, brimming with arrogance, asked Venkatesh Prasad to fetch the ball after hitting through the covers for a four in the second quarter-final match of the 1996 World Cup in Bangalore.

The animated Pakistan opener also predicted that he will hit the next ball in the same region, only to be dismissed. Call it instant Karma, Prasad took the revenge by knocking off Sohail's stumps of the next ball. The wicket proved to be decisive as India won the match by 39 runs.


An emotionally charged Prasad's sending off of Sohail is still regarded as one of the best celebratory moments for India.
