Zurich: FIFA`s ethics committee on Friday suspended Juan Angel Napout and Alfredo Hawit for 90 days, after the two vice presidents of world football`s governing body were arrested following corruption charges in the US.

"The adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee...has today banned two FIFA Vice-Presidents - the President of the South American Football Confederation, Juan Angel Napout, and the President of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football...Alfredo Hawit, from all football-related activities for 90 days," a statement said. 

It listed the US indictments unsealed Thursday as "the reason for the ban."
