Moscow: A Russia-made amphibious plane crashed in northern Iran leaving three people injured, Press TV reported.
The Aerovolga LA-8 twin-engine amphibious aircraft crashed Sunday as it was about to take off from the northern province of Gilan, 266 km from Tehran. The plane went down after its wing clipped a nearby rock and the wheels came off.
Two people onboard the plane received minor injuries, while the third person broke a leg. The plane was reportedly brought to Iran from Russia less than a month ago, the IRNA news agency reported.
