Whistling Straits: World number one Tiger Woods will play with holder Yang Yong-eun and 2004 champion Vijay Singh in the first two rounds of next week`s PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.
American Woods, who has won the year`s final major four times, is scheduled to tee off with South Korean Yang and Fijian Singh from the 10th hole at 0820 local time (1320 GMT) in Thursday`s opening round. Yang became Asia`s first men`s major winner at Hazeltine National last year after spectacularly overhauling Woods in the final round to claim the title by three shots.
Masters champion Phil Mickelson of the U.S. has been grouped with Britain`s U.S. Open winner Graeme McDowell and British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen of South Africa for the first two rounds next week.
Mickelson and company are set to start on the first tee from 1335 (1835 GMT). In other high-profile groupings, 2008 champion Padraig Harrington of Ireland has been drawn with former winners Davis Love III and John Daly while American world number four Steve Stricker will play with Australian Adam Scott and Northern Ireland`s Rory McIlroy.
