New Delhi: A major fire broke out at the Vikas Bhawan located near ITO in the national capital on Friday.
According to reports, the fire broke out on the second floor of the building. However, there were no casualties. At least 18 fire brigade teams were rushed to the spot immediately to douse the fire.
Giving more details about the incident, AK Sharma, director, Delhi Fire Services, said, “The fire is fully under control now. Our teams were rushed to the spot shortly after the incident was reported to us at around 1.10 pm.” About the cause of fire, he said it is still uncertain what caused it. However, he did not rule out that a short circuit could have led to the fire.
Besides, top officials of the city administration were also at the spot to take stock of the situation.
