7-day vacation for IITs in Kashmir due to snowfall
J&K government ordered a week-long vacation for Industrial Training Institutes in Kashmir Valley and Jammu region due toheavy snowfall.

ordered a week-long vacation for Industrial Training
Institutes (ITIs) in Kashmir Valley and winter zone of Jammu
region due to extreme cold conditions created by heavy
snowfall.
"In view of the severe climatic conditions, the ITIs of Kashmir division and ITIs falling in the winter zone of Jammu division shall remain closed for one week from 17 of January", Deputy Director Technical Education, J&K government said in an order issue today. Kashmir remained cut off from the rest of the country for the second day today as snowfall blocked the vital Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. The snowfall, which began on Saturday night, continued overnight in most parts of the Valley including Srinagar, crippling normal life as most of the people preferred to remain indoors. PTI
