Bhopal, June 25: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan declared open the newly-laid poly grass and flood light system at the renowned Aishbagh Hockey Stadium here last night. In his address on the occasion, Chauhan told the players, "you give me a medal and I will give you all the facilities related to the games." He said that players will be provided all the facilities and promotion in the state and lack of funds would not be allowed to come in the way. The Chief Minister said that the State Government was developing an International level Cricket stadium at the Satgarhi Khel Gaon near here. A show match between Bhopal XI and Aishbagh XI was also played on this occasion in which Bhopal beat Aishbagh by two goals. Chauhan also played a shot on the turf before formally declaring the stadium open. Olympian Sameer Dad and international Hockey player Altaf-ur-Rehman played from Bhopal XI and they scored two and one goal each to get an easy victory over Aishbagh XI. Faisal was the lone scorer for Aishbagh. Sports and Youth welfare Minister Tukoji Rao Puar, BJP MP Kailash Joshi, Bhopal Mayor Sunil Sood and local MLA Vishwas Sarang also spoke on the occasion.
