The report coul not be immediately confirmed by officials of Libya`s National Transitional Council. Gaddafi, who ruled Libya for 42 years, died Thursday after his hometown Sirte fell to the National Transitional Council fighters.

Saif al-Islam has been on the run since NTC forces took full control of Gaddafi`s hometown Sirte on Thursday.
