New Delhi: After a wonderful reception in Hyderabad, ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu and her coach Pullela Gopichand were felicitated in Andhra Pradesh today.

Sindhu, who became the first Indian shuttler to clinch a silver medal at the Olympics, has become the toast of the nation and has been attending events and ceremonies since her arrival in Telangana yesterday.


Sindhu and Gopichand did a road show from Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada to Indira Gandhi Stadium - where they were felicitated by Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.


Naidu didn't waste the opportunity and was seen exchanging a few rallies on the stage with the 21-year-old shuttler.




Sindhu was also handed over a cheque of Rs 3 crore as promised by the state government.


Sindhu and Gopichand will also take a holy dip in Krishna river on the last day of 12-day long river festival "Krishna Pushkaralu" today.
