Ghaziabad: As political parties brace up for the crucial Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh, things stand interestingly in Muradnagar constituency here with various rebels giving nervous moments to their parent parties by contesting as independents.
The list of unhappy candidates, who aim to disturb all permutations and combinations, refuses to end, leaving all the parties in fray struggling to keep their houses in order. After facing a last-moment denial of ticket by Samajwadi Party, Dishant Tyagi is now locking horns against his own party candidate Rajpal Tyagi, a former minister in Mayawati government, who joined SP last week. Accusing SP of doing injustice with him, Dishant today said he will leave no stone unturned to hand Rajpal, a seven-time MLA from the constituency a shocking defeat. BJP`s problems are no different where dissident Ram Ashray Sharma, after being denied ticket by the party, is eying to spoil prospects of its candidate Satender Tyagi. PTI
