Jammu: Slamming the Centre for not addressing their long pending demand of `One-rank One-pension`, the retired personnel of Central Para Military Force Welfare Association (CPMFWA) of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday said they will observe "black day" on Independence Day in Jammu. "We lambast the central government for not addressing the long pending principal demands and turning a deaf ear on one rank one pension and enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000," CPMFWA district president, Ram Lal Dogra, said in a statement here.
Dogra asked the members of the Association to observe Independence Day as "Black Day" by wearing black badges as a protest mark for not being addressed for their problems. Dogra asked the Home Ministry in particular to provide immediate relief to pre-2006 retired employees who are the most suffering class of the CPMFs.
