The summary report of the inquiry committee of the Patna Alliance air crash has been released over the Internet. Though the report does not include the details of the aircraft’s voice recorders, it enlists the following findings:
  • Pilots were fit
  • Jet was airworthy
  • Visibility was clear
  • Engines in functional condition
  • No report of engine fire
  • Engines were working on full power

    Government had appointed the court of inquiry on August 8 to investigate into the cause of accident. The court of inquiry is headed by Air Marshal P Rajkumar, programme director (test flight), Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore.
