Exactly a month ago, when they brought home the body of Captain Javed Ali Saifi from Kashmir, the entire neighbourhood of Zakir Nagar in South Delhi was out on the streets. "I had never seen anything like this before," recalls local chowki-in-charge Mukesh Walia. "We could hardly control the 5,000 people falling over each other-jst to take a look at him." Today, that grief may have slipped into memory but it's been replaced by an unmistakable sense of hurt. And a feeling among many that because his neighbourhood is predominantly Muslim, Zakir Nagar had to grieve all alone.
