Communications Minister and Senior JD(U) Leader Ram Vilas Paswan on Wednesday, said he is all set to launch his own party in time for contesting Bihar Panchayat elections later this year.
“The party to be formed will be a part of National Democratic Alliance as we have no intention of parting ways with the BJP-led government,” Paswan told reporters in Bhubneshwer. Paswan, who also heads Dalit Sena and addressed a meeting of the organisation at Cuttack on Tuesday, said there was no proposal to convert the outfit into a political party as was being speculated. “The Sena will expand to new states as it comprises cadres committed to the cause of the downtrodden and social justice,” he claimed, adding that he visualised having a unit of Dalit Sena and its Students' Wing, Dalit Student Sena in each village by 2002.
