Woman killed, six injured in shooting at Tennessee church

The incident took place around 11 am at Burnett Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, the Nashville Police told the media.

Nashville (US): A woman was killed and at least six people were injured when shots were fired at a church here on Sunday, the police said.

The victim died in a parking lot outside the church.

The shooter has been taken into custody. He was also wounded.

The incident took place around 11 am at Burnett Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch on the outskirts of Nashville, Tenessee, police told reporters.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals.

Antioch is about 16 km from Nashville, the capital of Tenessee.
