Barauli Assembly Election 2022 results: BJP inches towards victory with over 60% votes

Assembly Elections 2022 Results: Results for the Barauli assembly constituency that falls under the Aligarh district are awaited. The assembly seat which was won by BJP in the 2017 assembly polls is witnessing the real dance of democracy as numerous parties have fielded their candidates here including the new joiners in UP, AAP, and AIMIM.

Barauli Vidhan Sabha Chunav Final Results (Barauli Assembly Elections Latest Update and Trends)

BJP candidate Thakur Jaiveer Singh is leading in the Barauli Vidhan Sabha seat with 147328 votes while BSP's Narendra Sharma is trailing with 57047 votes. Although Barauli is considered a stronghold for Congress it could manage to get only 2377 votes.

BJP has fielded Jaivir Singh who fought 2017 assembly polls from BSP's side while INC has fielded  Gaurang Dev Chauhan, state vice president of UP Youth Congress.

BJP candidate for Barauli Vidhan Sabha:

Dropping the 2017 Assembly election winner Dalveer Singh the saffron Party has fielded Thakur Jaivir Singh who contested the 2017 assembly polls form BSP and lost to BJP candidate with a margin of 38, 763 votes. Singh was a minister in Mayawati government from 2007 to 2012.

Congress Candidate or Barauli Vidhan Sabha:

Congress party fielded Gaurang Dev Chauhan, state vice president of UP Youth Congress sidelining Keshav Singh who managed to get just over 17,000 votes.

Assembly Elections 2022: Other candidates in fray for Barauli Vidhan Sabha

As many as 6 prominent parties are running for the assembly seat of Barauli in Aligarh district. AAP and AIMIM who are making their debut in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections have pitched Sunita and Shakir Ali respectively for the 2022 assembly polls. Pramod gaur is running for the seat from RLD party and BSP has pitched Narendra Sharma for the MLA post of Barauli constituency.
