Sidharth Srinivasan`s `Pairon Talle` to release on October 5

New Delhi: Director Sidharth Srinivasan`s critically acclaimed independent feature film `Pairon Talle` (Soul of Sand), screened at the Toronto International Film Festival 2010, is all set for release on October 5.

Produced by Divya Bhardwaj, the film will be theatrically release under PVR Director`s Rare banner. It tells the story of a simple watchman, who is so devoted to protecting his master`s property that he has lost the very ability to safeguard himself. The stark contrasts of the rapidly urbanizing NCR (National Capital Region) provide the violent backdrop to the film. Written and directed by Srinivasan, the film stars Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Saba Joshi, Avtar Sahni, Geeta Bisht and others. `Pairon Talle` had its World Premiere at Toronto two years back to great acclaim. It was selected by Artistic Director Cameron Bailey as one of his prestigious Daily Picks. The film has subsequently gone on to play over 10 festivals globally, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam 2011 and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), NYC. Awarded the coveted Hubert Bals Fund at Rotterdam, the film has already secured multi-platform distribution with the Global Film Initiative in USA and Canada, and the HBF in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg.
