Rock band ‘The Rolling Stones’ logo gets makeover

Rock band The Rolling Stones have recruited street artist Shepard Fairey to rework their iconic logo for the band`s 50th anniversary.

London: Rock band The Rolling Stones have recruited street artist Shepard Fairey to rework their iconic logo for the band`s 50th anniversary.
The music band comprising Mick Jagger, Keith Richards Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, unveiled the sleek new take on their classic tongue-and-lips design to mark their half-century in rock `n` roll ahead of a planned string of celebratory gigs later this year, reported Guardian online.
Fairey, best known for designing US President Barack Obama`s Hope posters, has added a circular red and white banner reading The Rolling Stones - Fifty Years, and incorporated the number 50 into the band`s name. The tongue, created by art student John Pasche, first appeared on the Stones` Sticky Fingers album sleeve in 1971. PTI
