Juvenile Justice Bill passed: 16-18 year olds to be tried as adults for heinous crimes
Two days after the juvenile convicted of participating in the fatal gang rape of Nirbhaya in 2012 was released, Indian Parliament on Tuesday passed a controversial new law that will now try juveniles as adults if they are accused of committing brutal crimes like rape and murder.
