Robert Pattinson slammed for `English things aren’t very good` remark

Robert Pattinson has come under fire for dissing the British film industry during such a patriotic week, by saying, “English things aren’t very good.”

Melbourne: Robert Pattinson has come under fire for dissing the British film industry during such a patriotic week, by saying, “English things aren’t very good.
In a week when Britain runs high on Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and people in the country celebrate everything about being British, Pattinson was doing the exact opposite.
The Sun reports the Twilight star was replying to a question about the possibility of him using his own accent in a movie, News.com.au reported. “I feel very naked with my British accent. I feel like I’m not really acting. And also, English things aren’t very good,” the actor said. The 26-year-old, who is famed for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the popular franchise, also explained that after filming several Twilight instalments, he began to struggle with finding fresh angles for the big screen part. “Playing the same part for a while, you just run out of ideas,” he said. “I kind of got to the end of my inspiration. You get to the point where you’re like, ‘I don’t want to do a film for a teen audience anymore’,” he added. ANI
