Classic Legends launched the new Jawa 42 FJ in India, ranging from Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Bookings for the new Jawa 42 FJ have already commenced nationwide. However, deliveries will begin in the coming weeks. 

It’s a more powerful and sportier version of the regular Jawa 42 and is nearly Rs 26,000 more expensive.

It is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Alpha2 engine, delivering 21.45 bhp and 29.62 Nm of torque. 

For transmission duties, it has a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

The suspension setup includes a 41mm telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers.

It gets 320mm front and rear disc brakes, further assisted by dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).

With a modern-retro design language, the bike shares its platform with the Jawa 350 and most of its design elements with the Jawa 42. 

It gets an all-LED lighting package, a fully digital instrument cluster, upswept exhaust, and a USB charging port. 

It has a 1,440mm long wheelbase and a segment-leading 178mm ground clearance. It will compete with RE Classic 350 and others.
